Materials and tools

Super bulky yarn.
12 mm safety eyes.
Stuffing.
5.5 mm crochet hook.
Tapestry needle.

Head

R1. sc 6 in MR
R2. *inc* x6 (12sts)
R3. *sc,inc* x6 (18sts)
R4. *2sc,inc* x6 (24sts)
R5-8. sc in each st around (24sts)
R9. *4sc,dec* x4 (20sts)
R10. (frill): in FLO, 3 sc in each st around. Slst to first sc and fasten off.
Place 12 mm safety eyes between rows 6-7, spaced about 5 sts apart embroider blush with light pink yarn beneath the eyes, and the mouth 1-2 rows below the eyes (see picture for demostration).

R1. sc 6 in MR
R2. *inc* x6 (12sts)
R3. (working in back loops only): 2 inc, *sc,inc* x2, sc, 2 inc, sc, inc, sc (20 sts)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Tentacles

Make as many as you want, I’m doing 6.
Depending on how long and swirly you want the tentacles, you can add more chains and increase more frequently.
Make a slipknot with the colour of your choice, and slst to any of the front loops on the bottom piece of the body.
Ch 20.
*inc,2sc* repeat until the end, sc in the last ch. Slst to the front loop that you joined at. Fasten off, pull both loose ends of yarn to the WS and tie a knot.

Assembly

After making all the tentacles, sew the bottom piece to the head.
On the bottom piece, sew through the BLO and on the head, sew through the back loops that were spared during the frill round.
Stuff the head before sewing it shut.
Weave in any loose ends you’re done.
