Crochet Snowflake Pattern

Materials and tools

Scheepjes catona: beige (505), blue (402)
Sostrene grene gold
Crochet hook 2.5 mm
Yarn needle
Fiberfill for stuffing
Stitch marker

Abbreviations

Rnd- Round
MR- Magic ring
Ch- Chain
Slst- Slip stitch
Sc- Single crochet
Hdc- Half double crochet
Dc- Double crochet
Inc- Increase
Dec- Decrease
FLO- Front loop only
BLO- Back loop only

Center

Make 2 parts.
Rnd 1. MR, 6 sc [6]
Rnd 2. (inc)* [12]
Fasten off the first part, don’t cut the second,join by crocheting through both parts (wrong sides facing):
Rnd 3. (1sc,inc)* [18]
Now you will start the arms.
Don’t cut the yarn.

Arms

R1. after Rnd 3, continue crocheting 3 sc in front loops only, then turn on the other side and crochet 3 sc on the visible back loops, which will be in front of you as you turned your work [6]
R2-12. 6 sc [6]
Fasten off and close.
Take same yarn on next stitch of Rnd 3 and repeat steps R1 to R12. Make it 5 times, so that you have 6 arms.

Upper bars

Make 12 bars as follow:
Rnd 1. MR, 6 sc [6]
Rnd 2-6. 6 sc [6]
Fasten off and sew on each upper side of the arms.

Tiny snowflake

Make a ch 6, close in circle with 1 slst.
Rnd 1. ch 3, in the circle: 1 hdc, then repeat (ch 3, 2 hdc)x5, ch 3.
Close the Rnd with 1 slst (in first ch 3 of the Rnd).
Rnd 2. ch 2, 1 sc in first hdc of Rnd 1. Repeat ( in the arch of ch 3 of previous Rnd : 1 sc, 1 hdc, ch 2, 1 hdc, 1 sc. Then 2 sc in the 2 hdc of Rnd 1)x5. In the last arch of ch 3, crochet: 1 sc, 1 hdc, ch 2, 1 hdc, 1 sc. Close the Rnd 1 slst (in first ch 2 of the Rnd).
